“Being a cancer patient, you lose your brows, you lose your color, you lose your hair. I was never a wig person, and so I felt like whenever I did my makeup, instead of people looking at my bald head, they’d be looking at my face,” said St. Jude patient Bertha.
“St. Jude keeps us hopeful when times are the most difficult and helps solidify our faith that we will win our battle against pediatric cancer. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, it’s truly one of the most special places on planet earth.” Nolan, a St. Jude patient dad.
Geoff Calkins: Olive Branch resident Jonah McCoy, 8, is a patient at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. He could teach us a thing or two about gratitude.
Sometimes the biggest lessons come from our smallest friends. Get inspired by St. Jude patient Jonah's thank you notes to St. Jude staff. @geoff_calkins
Meet our January #StJudeVolunteer of the month, Lisa!
Lisa volunteers as the Stewardship Chair for the St. Jude Walk/Run Las Vegas, and in 2019 joined the St. Jude Heart of Fashion committee as Co-Chair. She is driven by her passion for the mission, and we are so grateful!
